Letter to the Editor: Service Speaks

I’ve known Robert O. “Bob” Huber for more than 35 years. For most of that time, he has been a member of the Rotary Club. He is the living embodiment of Rotary’s credo “Service Above Self.”

His list of accomplishments and community service is too lengthy to print. Suffice to say, from his current position as president of the board of the Ventura County Community College District through his term on the Simi Valley City Council and his other official and volunteer works, he has given a tremendous amount of himself to our children and us.

Many of you know that I have previously served on the City Council, and that I am a current chair of the College Board of Trustees.

Also, I have served as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Ventura County YMCA, Simi Valley Boy Scout District, Board of the United Methodist Church, Rotary Club of Simi Valley, and I am the current Chair of the Simi Valley Community Foundation.
