Due to the fiscal crisis facing the County and State, there is a possibility that financial considerations would cause the Supervisors to close the East County Jail, used by Simi Valley Police for bookings and detention.

Bob Huber, former Simi Valley City Council member, current chairman of the Ventura County Community Colleges Board of Trustees, today announced the receipt of the endorsement of the Ventura County Professional Firefighters Association (VCPFA). This is an important endorsement, since the members of the VCPFA are the men and woman who provide firefighters services to the people of Simi Valley.
