Last week, Mayor Paul Miller writes a letter to the editor in the Simi Valley Acorn stating his intent is not to give support to a candidate, but to “educate and inform the citizens of Simi Valley.” According to the mayor, staff concluded that E-Verify has a 56 percent failure rate, which he compared to the flip of a coin.

I remember when Bob headed up the successful school bond campaign to fix up our schools. He was also a co-founder of the Simi Valley Education Foundation to raise money for our school programs.

While the City ordinance allows for 120 days prior to the election to display political signs we are concerned the citizens of Simi Valley would resent looking at them for four (4) full months prior to the election.
Click Here For More InfoI was perplexed by Council member Barbra Williamson’s quote on Steve Sojka’s candidacy for Simi Valley mayor (Simi Valley Acorn, March 29).
Barbra said the mayor shouldn’t be a “relic” and should be “between the ages of 45-54.”
I’m taking an educated guess here, but I’m pretty sure Barbra is over the end of that age range.
Does that mean she is a relic herself and will be stepping down? Does that mean Paul Miller should have never run for mayor in the first place? Where I come from this is age discrimination. I don’t believe in any kind of discrimination.
