From the first announcement of my intention to run for Mayor of Simi Valley through the last two hours of burma shaving at the corner of Tapo Canyon and Cochran streets…this campaign has been fueled by the power of community.

1. ECONOMY

Our number one challenge during the next Simi Valley Mayor’s term is that we keep our Simi Valley fiscally sound in spite of the state’s fiscal crisis. It is interesting to see all the new programs brought forth by the City of Simi Valley since our campaign announcement in early February. A real question is why did it take twelve years for the City to react? We need a city council that is proactive not reactive!

2. PUBLIC SAFETY

Simi Valley Police officer morale is very low now and I want to restore it. I want to build back up the trust between the police department and the city because it’s not there right now. Having worked with police officers for years, including a period as a Deputy District Attorney, I understand police officers and will listen to them.
